Clever Swine Wins Business Award

Richard Palmer, of the local d3o Lab, has won the Arena o2 Entrepreneur Of The Year award. The awards were announced at snazzy Knightsbridge restaurant Mocoto and they acknowledge the blend of cutting-edge innovation and exceptional business drive, both of which Palmer has in spades. His company has invented an amazing new material that looks like rubber – all bendy and stuff – but kicks into action as a shock absorber if it gets hit. Quicksilver have just made a beenie hat out of it that acts like a crash helmet for when you’re out doing some snowboarding.
